Lindsay Gets To See Old Friends!

December 4, 2000

In the month of November, Lindsay was able to see a good friend from Fan Fair 2000.  Daniel Lee Martin was a neighbor during fan fair, and brought a lot of personality to the corner of their booth section.  He was performing a showcase at the Castle Door here in Nashville. Lindsay was able to show pictures from fan fair, but the highlight of the night, was just talking about Fan Fair.  He's a great person and goes all out for everyone.

Please visit Daniel Lee Martin's Website.

Out of all the days in a year, there is always one day that brings your friends together to celebrate your birthday.  Lindsay celebrated her birthday along with her twin sister and a bunch of her friends.  Though not everyone was able to make it, it was still a special day.  17 was a milestone, but she is looking forward to her 18th birthday for the biggest celebration.

To wish her a Happy Birthday, email her your best wishes.

Lindsay Brings Home

Eight District 4-H Awards.

October 3, 2000

Lindsay is grateful and appreciates the opportunity that was available to her going to the 4-H District Awards show.  She placed in practically every category and is please with how well she did for only being a member of 4-H for a year and a half.  Congratulations Lindsay on a job well done.

The awards list goes as follows:

1st Place - Hippology Judging Senior

3rd Place - Hippology Overall Senior

4th Place - Hippology Test Senior

4th Place - Hippology Identification Senior

            5th Place - Judging Reasons

5th Place - Judging Performance Senior

            6th Place - Judging Overall

            Participation - Horse Bowl

There are many stories behind these awards, but the one she was most reminded of at the awards was that of her first placing.  Hippology horse judging was something Lindsay had never heard of, nor even tried till the day of the competition.  She said to her friend Amanda the day before, "What the heck is hippology horse judging?"  Little did she know that she would know enough to place 1st among all the other Davidson County 4-Her's.  Not knowing anything, isn't an indication for not trying.  Lindsay knows that this is true.

Lindsay Place's 4th at

Tennessee State Fair!!

September 12, 2000

Lindsay is so proud about her placing at the Tennessee State Fair.  Although she would have loved to have been  1st place, she was honored to have made 4th place.  There was a lot of competition and you could tell the intensity the judges had in placing each individual.  There were a total of six contestants, counting Lindsay.

Davidson County didn't go home empty handed, the other Davidson Co. contest Amanda LaQuiere, came home with a 1st placing in the Formal Wear Competition.  Congratulations Amanda!  You represented Davidson county well!

She is looking forward to competing next year and is aiming for 1st place for Davidson County.  Please let her know your support.  Thank you!  Congratulations Lindsay!

Miss Tennessee American

Teen Pageant Update!

July 1, 2000

As you all know, Lindsay was one of the many girls selected for the Miss Tennessee American Teen Pageant as a state finalist.  As a state finalist, she participated in one of the largest, and most popular pageant systems in the world today.  It was an honor to be a state finalist in the pageant.  Being a contestant in a pageant, gave her the self-confidence knowing that she can fully represent the city of Nashville.  It was training for her for the future by helping her develop skills that helped her to be an asset in any field she may pursue, from modeling to business.

This was Lindsay's first pageant and being a participant in it was a dream come true.  It was exciting and fun all  at the same time.  The pageant gave her the experience and skills to succeed in her ambitions for the future.

The pageant was great, but Lindsay came out of it knowing that she did my best.  Lindsay did not place, but just being a state-finalist, to her, you are already a winner.

Thank you all for your support, and if there is one thing Lindsay lets you know, is to follow your dreams.
